So for fall break… I am going on a rather peculiar and ridiculous adventure. I had originally wanted to to a Best of the West tour with EuroAdventures but no one was as excited about it as me. Luckily I did not go with that plan because apparently one week ago it got cancelled because not enough people signed up. So what are we doing?
Well, Lizz didn’t really have a fall break BUT as the little travel agent she is, she was thinking on going to Dublin the first weekend of what is SYRACUSE (aka mine and Laura’s) fall break and the last weekend of fall break she was planning on going to Prague. I talked to Laura and we realized we both would love to go to Dublin and Prague. But what to do in the middle? Both Laura and I have good friends studying abroad in Maastricht, Netherlands. So I looked at a map and figured, it’s in between Dublin and Italy and since we have to return to Florence for the Prague trip (it is by bus, with Bus2Alps) we figured, why not?
I had decided this was the plan (but hadn’t booked flights) when Edie called me on skype at 1.00 am. She is studying in Glasgow, Scotland. Coincidently the weekend we were going to Dublin she was planning on going to Dublin too. The flights were looking expensive but then I found a cheap flight to Edinburg. Turns out, its 1 hour train ride from Glasgow and Edie also wanted to see Edinburgh. PERFECT. So after a bunch of FB messages we booked our trip, and it is as follows:
Fly from Pisa to Edinburgh on Oct 27th
See Edinburgh Oct 28th, fly to Dublin.
See Dublin Oct 29th till Oct 31st
Oct 31st fly into Brussels and train to Maastricht.
Maastricht from Oct 31st to November 3rd
Fly back to Pisa on Nov 3rd
Prague from Nov 3rd to Nov 6th
The cherry on top of the cake? Lizz decided to tag along for the whole thing AND we get to meet up with Michelle and Janna (two other DZ’s from Denver, studying abroad in Aix-en-Provence) in Prague! Un-real.
It is going to be an exhausting 11 days but you are only young once.
To be old and wise you have to be young and stupid, right?
CAN’T WAIT.
