This weekend was closing weekend for the Perugia ChololateFest and naturally I wanted to go. Originally I wanted to go on Friday BUT Trenitalia was going on strike from 9 to 5. Its kinda funny that strikes are this organized and scheduled (SU sent us an email with all the strikes and the date/time they know about) while the trains, bus system, etc… not so much.
So since Friday was not an option for ChocoFest, Lizz and I planed a Criminal Minds marathon. Laura tagged along too. I went over to Lizz’s apartment, we had a small photocopying/scanning adventure and then set up our “viewing station” at her place. We bought some snacks and snuggled up. I brought my books to study and since we are not members of MegaVideo, every 72 minutes, I would have 30 minutes to study. I missed just snuggling up in front of the TV (or computer, I guess) with my friends and doing nothing for a whole day (I miss the DZ couch and my red couches in Guate).
That night we went out and one of the funniest things ever happened. We (Lizz, Laura and I… naturally) bar hoped some and around 12.30 or 1.00 came back to Lizz’s to “drop her off”. I went inside because I had forgotten my notebook from earlier, so I wanted to get it. I don’t know what got over Laura and I but somehow we decided we just wanted to stop by this other bar. This evolved into us going to a total of 3 other places and then decided to wait for the secret bakeries to open. All of this, with my NOTEBOOK in hand, mind you. Somehow, when we told an Australian that we were going to a secret bakery, he decided to tag along. After wandering around for a bit and asking for directions we somehow ended up by San Ambrogio market, not our original destination AND about 20 minutes out of the way home. After getting some late night snackies (not sure if it was a secret bakery yet…) we started the trek home. Poor Australian. At least he got a Panini out of it.
